Old Hetzer

Here's another recent build. This is the old Italeri kit, which by todays standards is well below par. I picked this kit up at a swap meet from the bargain bin and decided to build it nice and quick so I could practice a hairspray whitewash finish. With my average build time being 4 to 6 months (and often longer), this one was done in 7 days. That should give you a good idea of how basic this kit is.

For those interested, the full step by step build and photo feature can be found on the following links:

Thanks for looking.

  1. Nice one mate - although I have to query... 6 to 7 weeks for an average build? or 6 to 7 months? :)

  4. Hi Jurgs,
Long time no speak. Nice to see the Hertzer again, one of my favourite builds of yours and one I’ve got bookmarked for reference. Glad to see you’re keeping well and congrats on starting up your own blog, I wish you every success with it!
    Take care

  5. Thanks Daz. I appreciate that. Guess I must be doing something right then.

Cheers Andy. Great to hear from you.
Thanks for the comments on this one. The kit was pretty sub-par, but was heaps of fun to paint and weather, which was my intention with this one. As for the blog, more of a highlight of what I've done and am doing. I'll be linking everything back to MA for those wanting to see the blogs or photo features.

    Jurgs.
